1/ About Our Business

Our business involves providing services that help advertisers or their intermediaries (e.g. media agencies) run advertising campaigns on TV media platforms, including OTT/CTV devices. We are an intermediary in the online advertising industry, connecting publishers and advertisers. 

We serve ads that are customized to the content displayed so that the advertisers reach an audience that is more interested in their products or services.

Publishers of TV advertising spaces use our services to monetize their ad space. We may therefore have access to your data when you visit the TV media platforms of a publisher who uses our services.

2/ Definitions

3/ Scope of the Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data by our company in the context of delivering advertising on TV services and purchasing and selling advertising spaces on TV media. We act as a data processor for our clients (advertisers, media agencies and their vendors) helping them reach their target audiences through tailored advertising campaigns on various TV platforms. We also help them purchase TV ad space for their advertising campaigns.

This policy does not govern the collection, use and disclosure of information by our clients through their TV Media Properties, the activities of other third parties we may work with, or any activities where we act as a service provider or processor to our clients rather than a data controller. Those practices are governed by our clients’ and partners' own privacy policies.

4/ Information Collected and how it is used

We and our clients use user information to guide decisions on buying and selling advertising space on digital media properties. This data helps deliver  ads, targeted or not, that our clients believe will interest specific users. Most of our targeted ads are related to the country and the content displayed.

We also use tracking technologies to measure advertising campaigns and prevent users from seeing the same ad repeatedly, enhance ad delivery, report to clients, and assess ad effectiveness.

The publishers of the TV media platform and the advertisers are responsible for the installation of tracking devices or cookies collecting your personal data and obtaining valid prior consent on behalf of the advertisers, and managing the data subject's right to withdraw consent.

When you visit TV Media Properties that use our services, we collect, use and disclose the following information to the listed recipients for the indicated purposes:

  • IP address: used to infer your country.

  • Non-precise location data.

  • Tracking data: ad views, number of times an ad was viewed by the same user, etc.

These third-party services provide our clients with additional ways to deliver TV ads using our services. These partners collect data directly from you and, with your consent, share it with us.

We receive personal data from different third party sources:

  • Bid Requests: The sources of Bid Request Data and Performance Data/Impression Data are media supply sources, such as publishers (i.e. organizations who operate TV properties) and supply side platforms (organizations who display ads on publisher’s TV properties). Bid requests are sets of information that describe a TV ad space that is available to be filled. Our services are designed to help manage this process in order to help our Clients run their advertising campaigns. We get these requests from the “supply” side of the advertising ecosystem, meaning apps, smart TVs, and others, as well as their agents. We receive IP addresses, device IDs, aggregated segment data, imprecise location data from them.

  • Performance Data: We receive performance data from publishers regarding the advertisements that are shown on their TV properties. In connection with that performance data, we may receive certain user information, including user agent strings, device IDs and IP addresses. Purveyors of connected tv devices and apps can send us information about the video content viewed on the device or app.

  • Cookies and Pixels: Cookies and web pixels, which may be placed on our Website or on our partners’ websites, allow us to recognize web browsers across sites and over time, and to understand how users interact with our or our Customers’ digital properties. We receive certain types of information, such as IP addresses, device IDs, mobile device advertising identifiers, or user agent strings from these cookies or pixels.

6/ Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect certain types of personal data, such as name, birthdate, email or sensitive information related to health, race, or religion.

7/ Third Parties We Share Data With

We share personal data with business partners to serve you with advertisements adapted to the content displayed on the TV channels.
